Hello, guys! Oh, no! I have to tell you that now is night at my place and rain. Sound like a deja vu? But I have good news for all of you. There is new event in Solo, Central Java, Indonesia. We have International Umbrella Festival. Coming tommorow on Friday 23 September 2016 until Sunday 24 September 2016. The venue is Taman Balekambang Manahan Solo. There will be photography exhibition, umbrella instalation, stand from some country and some city of Indonesia which promote their traditional umbrella. We can make umbrella, draw on umbrella, and of course buy the umbrella. And, there will performing arts. Still it will be about or use umbrella as props. I haven't yet plan to come this year. Last year I came with my friends after works hour. Hot afternoon and a lot of people came. I bought an umbrella from Tasikmalaya. I will post it later. Kegiatan ini pertama kali digagas dan dikembangkan oleh kelompok pelaksana Thames Festival di London (The Mayor’s Thames Festival) yang bekerja sama dengan British Council untuk penerapannya di negara-negara lain. Kegiatan Rivers of the World telah berhasil menghubungkan lebih dari 2.000 sekolah di seluruh dunia setiap tahunnya. Di Indonesia, sejak tahun 2012, 6 sekolah menengah di Solo berkesempatan untuk menjadi peserta kegiatan. good morning^^ today is sunday, still on 6th Asean Paragames week event. now, i watched national television which airing about 6th APG. they talked about organization of the games. well, this event does not get a lot support like Sea Games (26th Sea Games at Jakarta-Palembang Indonesia on November 2011). but we, Solo people and also all the participants, still excited and keep support. screen shot of the talk show i took.^^ sorry for the low quality. more proud when APSF chairman said that he was so surprise Solo can transform to be good standard for organize the international event for the first time. not only APSF chairman, but he called some ASEAN sport ministers. first when Solo volunteered to be the host, they still doubt can Solo organize such international sport event like APG? but Solo didn't build new venue. hi^^ i got some infos from my friend whom official crew. today evening will be held torch parade include with carnival culture (kirab budaya). at December 15th 2011 will be the opening ceremony in Manahan stadion at night. then the games start on December 16th 2011. and at yesterday (December 12th 2011) all the athletes have qualified. okay, for all my viewer/reader from south-east asia, let's cheer up our athletes!
