Kegiatan ini pertama kali digagas dan dikembangkan oleh kelompok pelaksana Thames Festival di London (The Mayor’s Thames Festival) yang bekerja sama dengan British Council untuk penerapannya di negara-negara lain. Kegiatan Rivers of the World telah berhasil menghubungkan lebih dari 2.000 sekolah di seluruh dunia setiap tahunnya. Di Indonesia, sejak tahun 2012, 6 sekolah menengah di Solo berkesempatan untuk menjadi peserta kegiatan. Selama kegiatan, 120 siswa ke-6 sekolah Solo dibimbing oleh praktisi seni berpengalaman untuk menghasilkan sebuah karya seni sesuai dengan temanya masing-masing. well, i don't what the different between "fear" and "phobia". from wikipedia.org : A phobia (from the Greek: φόβος,Phobos, meaning "fear" or "morbid fear") is defined as a persistent fear of an object or situation in which the sufferer commits to great lengths in avoiding despite the fear, typically disproportional to the actual danger posed, often being recognized as irrational.
