chilseok

long time since a posted about vega and altair. i want to post about chilseok in Korea which is from vega and altair legend. i got an article from lifeinkorea site *i know is pretty late to talk about this, but there is a "tanabata late" hehehe* Chilseok is on the 7th day of the 7th lunar month. Traditionally, this is the day when a special ceremony is held for the stars that symbolize the annual encounter of the Gyeonu and Jiknyeo planets placed on each end of the galaxy. According to myths, Gyeonu and Jiknyeo's love for each other brought the anger of the King of Heaven and therefore met once a year the night before Chilseok across the galaxy. Crows and magpies are said to have gathered to form a bridge for the two lovers' reunion, and this bridge was called the Ojakgyo. custom Chilseok is a period where the heat starts to pass away and the monsoon season begins. The rain that falls during this period is called Chilseok water. As pumpkins, cucumbers, and...

vega and altair

while i'm playing my poupeegirls, i found something nice. i've found so much new things. now, i'll share one of it. this is it "vega and altair" check this article from wikipedia.org: Qixi Festival (Chinese: 七夕节; Mandarin Pinyin: qī xī jié; Jyutping: cat1 zik6 zit3; literally "The Night of Sevens"), also known as Magpie Festival, falls on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month on the Chinese calendar; thus its name. It also inspired Tanabata (aka. Shichiseki [七夕]) in Japan, Chilseok (칠석) in Korea, and Thất Tịch in Vietnam. It is sometimes called Chinese Valentine's Day (simplified Chinese: 情人节; pinyin: Qíng rén jié) since late 1990s. Young girls traditionally demonstrate their domestic arts, especially melon carving, on this day and make wishes for a good husband. It is also known by the following names: * The Festival to Plead for Skills * The Seventh Sister's Birthday, especially in Cantonese, (traditional Chinese: 七姊誕; Mandarin Pi...
